Easter is just a couple of days away, which means it is time to start preparing for your Easter egg hunt. To ensure everyone has a joyous time while searching for eggs, keep these simple Easter safety tips in mind.

• Think about the candy – make sure that children under the age of five do not get any small pieces of candy that they could choke on. Make sure to only give out age appropriate candy, and keep an eye on little ones to ensure that they do not sneak a small piece.
• Give the right toys – if you are including toys in your children’s Easter basket, make sure to avoid giving out any toys that have a choking hazard.
• Keep the eggs safe – dyeing Easter eggs is one of the most fun Easter activities that people of all ages can enjoy. It is important to keep in mind that hard boiled eggs can easily spoil, so make sure to keep them in the fridge until you are ready to eat them. Any eggs that you hide in your yard should not be eaten.
• Keep it clean – wash your hands before and after handling raw eggs, as well as any dishes or utensils that were used in the process. Never use an egg that has been broken or cracked.
• Set boundaries – when setting up your Easter egg hunt, make sure to set strict boundaries about where the kids can go so that they do not wander off.
• Make sure to supervise – while your children are hunting for their eggs, make sure to keep an eye on them, even if you are doing an indoor egg hunt.
