We have brainstormed some easy ways to conserve water that will not interfere with your daily life. Here is what we have come up with!

• Purchase an aerator to install on your bathroom faucet. This can help you to conserve 1.2 gallons each day!
• Never leave the faucet turned on while you brush your pearly whites. Leaving it off will save 10 gallons per day.
• If you normally take a 10-minute shower, cut that time in half to save 12.5 gallons!
• If your toilet is an older model, consider installing a high-efficiency toilet that will help you to conserve 19 gallons of water each day. Wow!
• Do not run your dishwasher until it is completely full. The same goes for your clothes washing machine! If you are able to do this, you could save 15 gallons of water.
• When washing your dishes by hand, use a soaking method instead of running water.
• Cut your sprinkler time back by 3-5 minutes. You will save a considerable amount of water.

Do your part, and help the state get through this awful drought! Every person’s help will make a difference, and every gallon saved will help!
